check engine code says #3 coil is bad is it hard to change

You'll need a repair manual so you can see how much work is involved. Haynes manual at autozone are pretty good.

It is a very easy job to do. I have had this done. I normally will order the coil pack online from Advance Auto with a discount code. I purchased the one with the lifetime warranty and have had to return it and received a replacement free. You will need a new spark plug whenever you change the coil pack. It is part of changing the spark plug so it should be pretty easy. I watched my husband do it and he is not a mechanic. Watch YouTube too.
