back cusions of the back seat

how do I remove the back seat cusion on my 20003 cad. cts. I needed to replace the rear shocks and went to you tube for a video on it.They said to pull out on the narrow cushion on each end of the seat to expose the 2 shock fastening bolts.I got the shock s on the car ok.the problem is now I cant move the cushions when I try to .put them back where they belong.It acts like there is something locking it out.IT wont move at all. I need HELP Is there a video or any kind of help with this?????? Thank you foryour help
