Look at www.kbb.com it is the industry standard (and free to you to use) to determine fair market value for the car. Have a pre-purchase inspection done by a garage knowledgeable in GM/Cadillac products, it will be money well spent, hat they find may divert you from buying a "bad car" and or what they find (lack of maintenance or repairs needed) can be used to negotiate price.
I bought 1 about a year ago.Love it.It now has 107,000 mi. Taking it for Timing belt change,Water pump, spark plugs and thermostat change. I expect the engine to easily pass 200,000 with no problems. Then repeat with Timing tensioner set.
03 cts are junk I have had mine almost a year now an the first week I had it. Went to the shop to get new head gasket and just the other day I lost all of my oil, don't know were its leaking from but doest look good.
