Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Cadillac ATS. Low voltage in your vehicle combined with the lack of charging can indicate a fault with a component like the alternator itself, a wiring concern, battery cables being loose or corroded, or even an internal PCM (engine computer) concern. The most common cause in most cases is usually the alternator itself failing. I recommend having the alternator tested as well as the battery cables and connections checked and the wiring leading to the alternator to see if an issue is found. Further testing may be needed to pinpoint an internal PCM concern. These tests are usually best to have performed by a reputable repair facility that has access to the correct test equipment and knowledge to do so.
