What is your question?
After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, my odometer reads "------ mi". Everything works, and using an OBD-II reader, the BCM knows how many miles are on the car and continues to track the mileage. There are no error codes.
What makes this problem better or worse?
I have tried disconnecting the battery again to no avail.
How long has your 2014 Buick Verano had this problem?

Hello, there's obviously something going on in the "communication BUS" between control module and display. Testing is required, and an OBD II reader isn't going to cut it. You're going to need a GM Tech II diagnostic tool or equivalent to connect and find out what's going on here. Troubleshooting may get into circuit testing; check all related fuses also. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
