Once you've disconnected the harness, and the retainer clip for the ECM/PCM housing at the top of the battery hold down bracket is disengaged, you should be able to slide the unit upward from the mounting.
Make sure battery is disconnected, and the terminals are insulated from the ECM/PCM to avoid contact, which will result in damage to the unit.
If you're replacing the ECM/PCM, the replacement unit must be programmed, along with resetting the engine oil life, and transmission fluid life percentages from the original.
