Car starts and stalls within 3 seconds, ever since cassette tape stuck in radio.

If you leave the key on for 20-30 seconds car will start and stay running. Tried replacing ignition switch and ignition cylinder to no avail. When car stalls theft light flashes and then is solid. Possible to bypass theft system and return car to normalcy? I was told there is a sequence of turning the key on and off in a patterned sequence to accomplish this? Or do I have to have the cassette removed, or another radio installed? Most grateful for a solution!
