What is your question?
I'm interested in purchasing a 1994 Buick Roadmaster Limited with the 5.7L LT1 Engine. It has 130K on the motor and the owner has all the maintenance receipts. It's been well maintained, garaged and is a southern California vehicle. The only issue is the Air-conditioner stopped working about a month ago and according to Repair PAL it could be as simple as recharging the system to replacing the compressor. My question is how reliable is the 5.7L with the Corvette LT1? I'm purchasing the car for my daughter so safety and reliability are a must!
What makes this problem better or worse?
A/C not working
How long has your 1994 Buick Roadmaster had this problem?

As far as the air conditioning system - there's such a wide range of possible concerns and repairs that there's no way to know until inspection can occur. I will say - a "simple recharge" is impossible. Refrigerant is not consumable. It leaks due to some kind of failure that must be identified -- if then refrigerant is a concern at all. As far as reliable: the vehicle is 27 years old. I'd be extremely cautious and have the vehicle thoroughly inspected for safety at a shop near you.
