Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! This sounds like a heated situation! Accessing the back hatch can be tricky with your battery dead, especially without a keyhole or visible release switch. Here’s what you can try: First, if you're able to get into the cabin, check near the driver’s seat or on the dashboard for a button or lever labeled with a hatch symbol. This manual release is sometimes hidden or integrated into the vehicle’s interior design. If you don’t find anything there, inspect the area around the hatch itself for a small, discreet panel or cover. Behind that panel, there might be a manual release lever or access point for a screwdriver to pop it open. If these methods don’t work, your best bet is to contact a local mechanic or a Buick dealership. They’ll have the expertise and tools to safely open the hatch without causing damage. Good luck!
