What is your question?
I have a 2004 Buick rendezvous and it won't run! The instrument cluster doesn't work and I have stored trouble code of u1000! None of the guages on the cluster are working and this happened after the vehicle wouldn't start. The first thing I checked was the battery and found a loose positive cable. Eventhough, the guages stopped working the vehicle would still run. I assumed I had a bad cluster, had it serviced, and now it's not running at all!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Not applicable to this scenario
How long has your 2004 Buick Rendezvous had this problem?
Well over a month now

Hello, start with that battery and your starting system. Ensure you have a fully charged battery able to handle a load. Then check those cables! Ensure all cables are secure and clean of any corrosion. Next, check your circuit protection (fuses) under the hood. A main one may have blown along the way due to loose cables or jumping. Beyond this, you'll have to get professional help to find out what is going on. I would not get too excited about the U1000 code because it's likely related to low battery voltage historically or a wiring issue that needs to be resolved in accordance with the starting system.
