You need to adjust the linkage on the cable. There should be 2 nuts at the end of the cable on the tranny side of the cable.One of the nuts is a locking nut and the other one is the adjusting nut.You might need to experiment a little bit to get it just right but patience will be your biggest helper.If you could send me a picture of the adjusting end, I might have some more advice for you.....
