I am looking at buying a 2002 buick rendezvous, with 113,000 miles on it, when i was test driving it, the dealer told me to go and drive it good and feel the awd at work, well,,, when i did the awd disconnected light came on on the dash. he told us its probebly just comes on when its awd is working. hhhmmmm,,,, anyone out there think differently?? please help this mom make a good choice on a safe car for my family. thanx much!!

Don't buy the Rondezvous. I have an '02 BRond. and I am regularly having problems ems with it. I had problems w/AWD light also, my mechanic finally replaced the sensor for me, $125-225 plus labor. I just replaced my 2nd radiator, brakes, thermostat, auto window mechanism, my gas gauge is broke, back wiper won't wipe it only grinds. I love my car, but it is constantly having to be fixed!!! My mechanic has told me to sell it! that is how bad of a reputation Rondezvous have.
do not buy this car...i have a 2003 and have all kinds of problems: head gasket blows due to inferior material that deteriorates with GM's dexcool coolant, all power windows will break a cheap plastic peice causing window to drop into door, several recalls on various parts
Do not buy this vehicle. It is a complete lemon. I have one and have had nothing but very expensive problems with it.
