2002 Buick Rendevous. The red brake light has been on for two years. The brakes work fine, but appears to be a short. Yesterday, I removed the factory speakers which wore distorted. I put in new speakers. Now, I cant drive without a constant beeping or warning that the brake light is giving. Is there a way to pull a fuse or remove the beeping and keep the radio on>
What makes this problem better or worse?
I changed out speakers, cant find anything to make it better.

The brake light warning should play even with the radio off.
Either way, if the brake light is staying on, the beeping will stay.
It's worth spending a few dollars to diagnose now, especially since the waning system will help protect the brake system when in good working order.

Follow the schematic for the radio, it has a parking brake wire. Remove it.
