Where is the power steering fluid reservoir
1 Reply
Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Great question! On your 2001 Buick Regal the power steering fluid reservoir is indeed a bit tricky to find. The reservoir is directly on top of the Power Steering Pump itself. It can be found on the passenger side of the car, tucked close to the cowl and pretty well hidden by the alternator. But if you look down between the cowl and the alternator you should see it there. There is a dip stick integrated into the cap so that you can check the fluid level and condition. You’ll want to do this when the engine is cool so you don’t burn yourself. Remove the cap and wipe off the dipstick and then reinsert and pull back out to get an accurate read on the dipstick.
