I just bought this car yesterday and have driven it less than 25 miles and the belt that is on the side of the engine that controls the power steering has "fallen off" the place where I bought the car will not fix it because I bought it "as is" the belt is brand new I just need to get it put back on correctly so it doesn't come off again. What will something like that cost me?
I would try to spin all the pullys by hand to see if any of them are locked up. Most of them will spin with out a belt turning them except for the crank pully. Thats where I would start.
it seems that the bracket that holds the ac has broken and that is why the belt came off, they are going to repair it today. thanks for your help!!
the guy that sold me the car said that I must have hit a rock or something... I know that is a load of crap. What does the DX and installation of the belt run?
