Trans. stays in D unless put shifter in L1 and then it will only drop to 2nd.

I had some trouble with the engine. Replaced plugs wires and one coil.(#1 missfire) Now runs good. Then the starter went out and was replaced. Now the trans. starts out in D (3rd) and never shifts up or down unless you pull shifter into L and then it only drops to L2. All this within a months time. The tranny problem seemed to start just after changing the oil a couple of days ago. The service engine soon light also came on and when I investigated that I discovered a blown 10a fuse in the fuse block on the pass. side of engine compartment in the slot labeled INJ 3.1L but this is a 3.8L and is running fine. Do I need to find a cliff? (car has 165k miles, reverse works fine)
