Transmission

I just checked the shafts and they are still inside of the transmission. I jacked it up and put it into gear and the tires just turn a little i can stop them from turning by touching. It goes into park just fine but put it into drive it does nothing think the tranny is shot ty so much.

it could be the joint at the wheel end of the shaft. Try this jack up just one wheel off the ground Trans in park can you spin the wheel? then do the same on the other side. If you can spin either side check that half shaft very carefully. I just haven't heard of just hitting a pot hole ruining a trans. Sorry but not being there it's hard to guess.
