Car won't start - cranks and has spark. I measured the fuel pressure @ 40 psi, but don't know if this is within the operating range.

Fuel pressure should be 24-40 PSI with the key on, engine OFF. It shoud be 26-32 PSI running. If you have fuel injector OPERATION, not just fuel pressure and spark, and it won't start, I'd be suspicious of a timing chain problem, that the cam is out of time with the crank. Check the injectors for squirt.
Superbob, Thanks for your reply - I'll check "for squirt". If I have squirt, any easy way to check timing? If no squirt, then what's next?
