stop light switch

What is your question?

need to replace my stop light switch, I had someone put a new one in and as soon as I drove away it stoped working again, he had trouble putting it in to begin with, said he never seen on of this type and one that the whole steering column had to be taken down, has been a mechanic for 30 years too, Im wondering if he screwed it up or if it's another problem
