Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Unlike Mt. Rainier, I don't think we have far to climb with this issue. This issue is most likely a, you guessed it, transmission issue. Check transmission fluid level and condition first. If it's low or dirty, top it off or consider a fluid flush. If that doesn't resolve it, it might be a problem with the transmission solenoids, valve body, or internal components. Transmissions can be tricky, so having a shop specializing in diagnosing and rebuilding them would be best. Take a look at RepairPal.com to find a certified shop in your area. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554! We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area!
