What is your question?
I bought a used 2005 Buick Rainier 3/2018 and the gas gauge is broken. I saw a post from 2011 that stated GM will pay for the repair on the vehicle. Does this still hold true?
How long has your 2005 Buick Rainier had this problem?
since I bought the car

I doubt it,but on certain 2005 - 2007 vehicles, General Motors has provided a special service policy covering the fuel level sensor, agreeing to pay 50% of the repair cost. This coverage extends for 10 years or 120,000 miles from the original "in service" date of the vehicle. Please contact your local GM dealer for more information. It's going to be costly at the dealer even IF they were to do it at 1/2 price,IF it's still in the range? you can buy the OEM AC DELCO fuel pump module assembly with the pump/sender and strainer at rockauto.com for around $240.00 counting shipping and just change it out yourself if you want,or they sell the sender only for around $75.00. either way you have to remove the fuel pump assembly.copy and paste the link below. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/buick,2005,rainier,5.3l+v8,1431679,fuel+&+air,fuel+sending+unit,4436
