What causes a noise that sounds like a playing card stuck in bicycle spokes?

I recently started hearing a noise that sounds like a small piece of metal pinging against another piece of metal. The best way I can describe it is it sounds like a playing card stuck in bicycle spokes. It only happens when I am accelerating going forward.I have looked underneath the car for anything that may cause the noise and nothing looked out of place and there wasn't anything stuck in the wheels. I was told it may be the sway bar links causing the noise by one person and another told me it may be the differential. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
