What is your question?
my 2004 Buick Park Avenue every few weeks or days will not start. It cranks, idles rough and stalls. The more you try the worse it gets. If you leave it for 20 minutes it will start right up. Once started it will drive perfect no stalling or rough engine. There is no smoke. Once the idle kicks in it seems to be very smooth. It happens randomly but when it does it seems frequent. . I have seen a few other similar posts but have not seen how it was resolved, Note: the Mass Air Flow sensor was replaced a few months ago as was the fuel filter. I would appreciate any advice.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Seems like cold or filling fuel may make it worse
How long has your 2004 Buick Park Avenue had this problem?
Last 2 months. seems to be getting worse

This should have illuminated the check engine light - which will require a complete scan test followed by any necessary *hands-on* testing / diagnosis so the actual culprit can be discovered. There are MULTIPLE POSSIBILITIES here and posting a list of the possibilities is not going to be beneficial at all - the same test will still be required. Good luck!
Additionally - reading about a repair on another vehicle with similar problems is not necessarily going to help - although the symptoms may be the same - each problem is unique in nature as well as the required repairs for each vehicle.
Thanks for your response Pushrod, the computer is not functioning properly, I believe it has loose connections. It reads Gas cap needs replacing although there is a new gas cap. Sure recommendations on here are not bankable repairs but as I spent over 1500 on unnecessary repairs for the Mass Air Flow sensors, then I read it here as a common problem, I thought i would check it out again for ideas. I found it interesting that I read the exact same problem on this site. In the current situation, my mechanic can't yet figure it out. It doesn't do it when I take it there. I take any recommendations as guidance and feedback only.
I’ll start off here by stating the MAF sensors are very problematic on these engines so I’m not surprised that it was replaced - I hope the replacement was a quality part though. What I recommend is leaving the vehicle with your mechanic so it can be driven until this concern is present and can be experienced first hand. Intermittent failures are very difficult to diagnose - the actual failure needs to be present at time of testing.. Tap testing the MAF is a viable test for this particular engine. With engine idling - lightly tap MAF with screwdriver handle - IF there is ANY noticeable response at all in engine idle - that sensor is defective. Intermittent MAF failures are common. This suggestion is merely posted as an aid - not a repair solution - until *hands-on* testing has proven it to be.
