I was told that my right rack bracket was broken and am not sure what that is.

Whomever told you that should have explained what it ment!.. I'm guessing there's a problem with the bracket that the steering rack mounts to.. Have a knowledgeable mechanic look at it and explain it to you! Also the repair procedure.. This is not a normal problem with a normal repair procedure, so it will have to be inspected to SEE what's needed!
