Trunk won't close

What is your question?

THe trunk won't automatically close after the initial latching. It remains open a half inch or so. Is it the electronic motor on the trunk? I checked the fuse for the gas door and trunk and it was fine. Any help grealty appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

Here's a good site for parts www.parts.com and here's a diagram http://www.parts.com/schematics/A/AB91270.gif looks like the motor is located in the trunk area

Having the same problem on my mom's 1996 Buick. Could I just disconnect the motor device and close it manually? Don't need a motor to shut the trunk.
