That doesn't compute .. *According to the details you posted* .. Those two problems (stalled and now won't 'crank') have got to be seperate issues... I can understand the engine stalling if the *wire connector* to the MAF was shorted - however I can not imagine why that would result in the starter not engaging - on a 1992.
Which relay is clicking?. The mass air flow sensor itself should not cause the car not to crank unless is shorted the pcm. But then again this a very old more basic car so its hard to say without some hands on electrical testing. Alex
Ok the cover on air flow sensor is open scwdrvr. Arc the open sensor. Car shut off went to restart got all lights radio air . but car wont crank.......bypassed with external start button . conected to battery and starter now it will crank but not actually start . does the 92 buick park ave security system shut down the fuel pump
I think it disables the fuel injectors - in any event you can't bypass the the pass key system with a remote switch .. TEST ALL FUSES. .. I still can't figure why the starter will not engage from the original switch .. Must have been a rather high amperage short circuit to result in that (?) I'm out of ammo on this one.
