will not crank just click

First step is to make sure battery and cables make a tight connection. If tight, turn on the lights and then try to start. If lights stay bright while trying to start then starting system is not working. If lights dim, have the battery checked to see if it is charged.

have it diag by a mech as i could be several items incl the starter
