So I have a 2008 Buick Lucerne with the 3.8l v 6. The trouble I’m having is it’s burning one prong on the fuel pump relay. I have replaced it twice now with two different brands. I have tested the amp draw on the fuel pump and I’m getting 0.77amps with 60psi to the injectors. It is getting 14volts to the pump which seemed a bit high to me. I’m lost and not sure which way to turn
How long has your 2008 Buick Lucerne had this problem?

What other work and repairs have been done on the vehicle? Any accident damage? Accident repairs? Wiring repairs? A perfectly normal factory vehicle doesn't have this just "happen", there's more to the story. Share what you know.
No accidents no damage and no recent repairs. The only thing that was changed was a little box was plugged into the obd-2 port for insurance purposes and then started causing the issue and burnt up the fuel pump relay. The box has since been unplugged and left out. The only three things I could narrow down to is the ecu, fuel pump or fuse block. All are around $200 each. My thought was that the fuel pump shouldn’t have 14v going to it and since it does it’s causing the relay to get super hot and burn out
I must add that the car was purchased 2 years ago from a dealer and only has 68263 on the odo.
