price of heater valve

there is no heater control valve. make sure the coolant level is good. otherwise take it to a shop and let them diag it for you and give you a bid. there are many, many things that it could be and you need someone expierenced with these systems to give you the correct diag. Roy

Check the heat control actuator behind the glove box. Glove box has two screws in front, remove them and pull the box out. On the left side, in the back is the actuator. Its hollow shaft should rotate in response to the temperature controller movement. If it does not, the actuator has probably failed. The actuator has a dinky little motor, which cannot be expected to last, and a number of reduction gears. I got an AC Delco replacement for $39 on Amazon.
