could I have a bad PCM? After thousands in repairs, still same issue ... Help!

Car stalls and sounds like a deisel randomly when gas pedal is depressed more than 1/3 of way down.. Changed ECM, TPS, MAP, MAF, PLUGS, WIRES, AIR FILTER, GAS FILTER, FUEL REGULATOR, catalytic converter. Before putting more money in the car, I wanted to ask if it really could be bad. The sound and loss of power is random and mostly if drive. Easily car will go anywhere as long as you take it easy on it. Could this be the pcm the whole time?
