My coolant levels in reading low when I accelerate

Okay, what is the question? From your description you have a leak and you know the approx. area. Give further inspection to determine exact area of leak and post. If you think it is the water pump then replace.

I know this is late, but it could also be the plastic tubes from intake manifold to alternator bracket housing. They have a tendency of cracking. I replaced mine with aluminum ones. There is another one located towards the bottom of the alternator bracket as well. I bought mine at O Reilly's auto parts for about $15.
