What is your question?
I noticed the water only comes out when the car is in forward motion and the A/C is on. I felt under the glove box where it seemed to be coming from and there is an opening, and in the opening seems to be some kind of spongy foam material that is soaked. Could it be because of the extreme humidity/dew point that we have experienced this summer? Or is something really wrong?

I hope this is an easy fix for you, because it was for me. The condensate drain line coming from under the box in the floorboard is usually stopped up with dirt and algae etc. It may be hard to see at first look but you know the little line has to exit under this area to the outside. You may be able to use a wire, and then if you have more access try to get clorox mixture into the drain line. This should work!
If you didn't get out whatever is clogging the condensate drain line, then you might use a shop vac with a damp rag to seal the space around the drain line and suck out whatever is in the drain line. (I had to do this with my home AC drain line when insects got into the drain line to build a home out of dirt. I used a small shop vac which has a 1 1/4 inch diameter hose.)
