Accessories all work in first position, but not second or third.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Thank you for reaching out to Car Genius, it does sound like your ignition issue is related to the switch itself if it's not allowing to switch to ignition ON, or even the start position. If they key is physically moving to those spots and is not doing anything it could be a battery issue. I would test the battery, to make sure it has enough power to crank the engine and then retry the switch.
