Hello, white smoke and a heater that isn't hot can be signs of an internal engine coolant leak that needs professional diagnostic testing. However, an air pocket in your cooling system due to opening up the system for repairs of the thermostat and radiator can also influence the lack of heat and the "overheating" - which can happen due to air pockets. Is your cooling fan working? Lots of questions; local guidance from a skilled technician near you would be of great value. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
