What is your question?
My daytime running lights (DRL) do not function. I must use regular or parking lights to have running lights. I have checked that in the daytime my high beams on not on dimmly. I instead use my headlightd. This also affects my instrument light cluster. Lights are very dim and difficult to read in the daytime.

The daytime running lights on your 2000 Buick LeSabre are powered by the FOG/DRL fuse located in the under hood fuse box as is the daytime running lights (DRL) relay. The relay is controlled by the Dash Integration Module (DIM). If the fuse is OK the next step would be to check for proper command from the DIM. The DIM will ground the DRL relay in order to turn the daytime running lights on. If the proper command is not being received the inputs to the DIM will then need to be checked using a scan tool. If all else checks OK the wiring from the DIM to the under hood fuse box will need to be checked.
Oakman: Thanks very much for your response. I have had the DRL problem for a long time and have been calling it "Dasboard lights dim" No one was able to understand my problem -- including Buick dealer and a couple of AAA registered repair shops. My problem got defined here a couple of months ago and I had to verify that it truly was a DRL problem before I wrote you. Thanks very much for your help. harryb
