What is your question?
1998 Buick LeSabre, first time back carpet is soaked. will it drain by itself? how can "I" make it drain? can I lift carpet myself and drain it? where do I seal it so it doesn't collect water anymore (show me)? why won't it drain by itself? friend said it comes from trunk drip, doesn't sound reasonable to me. I want it stopped; I put groceries there. If I don't stop it I'll have mold and not all 4 windows can open. can't afford another car for many years. tell me how "I" can fix this. thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
when it rains

will it drain by itself = NO.... how can "I" make it drain = use a wet/dry shop vac, vacuum water up... can I lift carpet myself and drain it = NO where do I seal it so it doesn't collect water anymore (show me) = can't show you,we don't know where it's leaking at! you will have to find the leak yourself with a helper. why won't it drain by itself? = there is no drain unless there is a plug in the floor under carpet... I want it stopped; I put groceries there = must find leak and seal it to stop leaking.... Suggest getting in the car,get friend to spray/run water in suspected area where it's leaking to find the leak and then repair it....
Strong vacuum, shop vac or car wash vacuum, then dry with fans, pull dome light fuse or disconnect battery, trunk seal is one possibility, Plus weatherstripping
