What is your question?
So recently ive been having this issue with my lesabre where the fuel pump, windows, and power seats simultaneously lose power or at least most of it. It happens randomly it seems and will randomly come back in too, i suspect a bad ground connection or corroded wires somewhere but i have no idea where to start. The rest of the accessories work just fine and the engine turns without a jump but the fuel pump keeps stopping. Also as a strange side not ive noticed that when this happens if i have the door open and press the window button the car thinks all the doors are shut
What makes this problem better or worse?
Its hard to say if theres anything making it better or worse but it seems like if i can get the engine to turn then give it gas itll some back on sometimes
How long has your 1998 Buick LeSabre had this problem?
About two months

Certainly not fuse related if it starts working again! No idea of a correlation between a fuel pump and windows. I would probably focus on the fuel delivery issue first and resolve that before moving on to the windows and seats issue.
So I did wind up finding out what was causing the problem and im posting it in case anyone else has a similar problem. Its not likely that this will happen to too many people but basically the wires going to the switches for the windows was shorting out. After some inspection i found that wiggling the wires slightly resulted in everything coming back on/off. This probably isnt a part that you can find online youre better off going to a junkyard. Im just stripping all the wires and twisting them together and taping up with electrical tape. Its quite a strange problem so i doubt too many people will have the same issue but its worth a shot.
I am having the exact issue with mine. Can you please describe which part of the wiring harness you had to fix/replace? This has been driving me nuts. It’s my mom’s vehicle and I’ve thrown a lot of parts at the car and finally I ran across your post(face palm)
Wow, I have a 1998 Buick lesabre and I am having the same exact problem. The fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago and last summer seemed like it quit working. After sitting for a week it cranked right up. Well now a year later it has happened again. I ran across your post and tried my windows and power seats. Both are out and the vehicle isn't getting fuel. So, the wiring going to the drivers side power windows was your culprit?
Did you ever get your problem resolved? As I said I am having the same exact problem myself
Although I can't speak for the previous poster, I can say that it sounds like wires that go through the door from the door to the body of the vehicle are getting chafed, and that harness is a good place to start looking.
Yeah ive replaced to fuel pump and replaced the relay for the fuel pump, neither one of those did anything. Once i get it running it runs fine for the most part but then if i try to roll the window down or adjust the seat the car shuts off. Any idea where the ground for this is? Edit: i just messed with the wires going to the window motor and it seems to affect it not really sure why though. Its running now but i cam almost guarantee itll go out again
