Where exactly, is the Temperature control sending unit on the engine block located?

The coolant temperature sensor that operates the gauge is at the throttle housing area rear bank side of engine, sensor has a gray wire connector on it, a single wire sensor, the wires is dark green/white according to my information.

located under the throttle body,look for a one connection,beside a blk bracket.
