Upon start and while idle my A/C is not cooling.

It is normal for an air conditioning system to not put out very cold air when idling. This is because the compressor is performing optimally at around 2,000 RPM -- like when you are cruising normally down the road. You normally notice this less-than-cold air when your interior is especially hot, like on first start up. Think of it this way -- when the engine is running slow, the compressor is running slow, meaning the entire process of cooling the refrigerant, blowing cold air, absorbing the heat of the vehicle then cycling and cooling down again also goes slowly. When your temperatures are summertime hot -- like in Texas -- it is even harder to overcome this concern. That said, if your system is even slightly low in refrigerant, it will not cool as effectively as needed either. I would have a professional air conditioning technician inspect your system to ensure it is full of the correct amount of refrigerant and that the system is running properly.
I've had the car for 6 years now, this is the first time this has happened. I took it in to a mechanic it was slightly low on Freon. Made adjustments. Issue still exist. I'll take it to the dealership. Wanted to know what my options were first.
