Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. When your LaCrosse won't go over 30 mph, it could be going into "limp mode" due to an underlying issue. This often happens when the car's computer detects a problem that could damage the engine or transmission. Clearing the codes might temporarily fix it, but since the problem returned, there's likely a deeper issue, such as a transmission problem, sensor malfunction, or a clogged catalytic converter. I would recommend finding a trusted shop that will diagnose the root cause of the issue. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
