My car won't move in drive or third gear.only in first and second. When I pick up speed on second and and first and hear it shift I shift it to drive then it will drive find but if I stop like at a light or it goes back to drive gear not working just revving and no movement.no check engine like probably because I cleared the code last time on a evap problem
How long has your 2007 Buick LaCrosse had this problem?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Being honest, I don't think there's any electronic concern happening here. Sounds like an internal hydraulic component is not working properly. Clutches, bands, drums, oil pump – all these things internally in the transmission can negatively influence the operation if there's a problem. You're going to want to have some testing performed by a professional shop or a transmission repair shop who can weigh in on what is going on your vehicle.
