Why does the blower on the heater not work?

At first the heater took a long time to heat up, but the fan blew air. Now the fan is not blowing even after the motor heats up. I can feel some heat when driving at higher speeds, but the blower is not functioning. at first this was intermittent, but now it doesn't blow at all.
