What is your question?
When stopping then trying to accelerate, the car will randomly hesitate. Sometimes its barely noticeable and other times it jerks. The car has been through many tests and mechanics have driven it but it doesn't indicate a problem. It has become concerning because I'm afraid it will hesitate and "lock" whatever is causing the problem.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing - its random
How long has your 2005 Buick LaCrosse had this problem?

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If your LaCrosse hesitates randomly after stopping and then accelerating, it could be due to a few potential issues. Common causes for hesitation include a dirty or failing mass airflow sensor, a restriction in the fuel system, or a problem with the throttle position sensor. Since the issue is intermittent and doesn't always show up during tests, it might be related to a sensor or component that is starting to fail but hasn't completely malfunctioned yet. Other possibilities include an internal transmission issue or a fault in the transmission control system. Trying to pinpoint specific instances when the hesitation occurs may be helpful to the technician trying to diagnose the vehicle. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
