What is your question?
When driving at night on a highway without streetlights, the headlights on dim with fog lights or high beam do not illuminate the sides of the road or enough distance. There is no illumination to the side of the road at all, the only way to obtain any illumination to the ditch/side of the road is to use the fog lights. The lights on high beam don't appear to blend together to help illuminate the road, but rather appear to have two distinct separate beams that really only light the middle of the road (sort of like a tunnel). Road signs are difficult to read because of this as well, as being impossible to see ditches. The lights on high beam appear to have a distinct separate line that defines where the illumination stops. When driving under these conditions, I am struggling to determine if I can see better with the high beams or the low beams and fog lights on. The lights on my new car have such poor headlights that it is difficult to believe it would have passed manufacturing. TY.
