What is your question?
I've had my Buick I'm the shop twice, once on June 30th for a squealing sound (code p0171) where they found a leaking pcv and replaced the cam cover (covered under warranty) the 2nd time in the shop was July 8th (code p0299) for the turbo to which they replaced the turbo (covered under warranty) but the shop called me and told me that when they removed the faulty turbo they found that my ac compressor was leaking refrigerant at the seal and would cost $1100 to replace the ac compressor because that isn't covered under warranty. I asked if the leak was there on June 30th when my car was in and they said "no, it looks to be fresh" I declined having the compressor replaced at that time. My question is this..with my ac compressor located below the turbo a little to the left (passenger) could the mechanic have accidentally dropped the turbo during the removal process or just careless while removing the turbo...and/or perhaps didn't know where the ac compressor was located? AC still works!
How long has your 2016 Buick Encore had this problem?

Hi, My answer is the same as yesterday when you asked the same question -- I don't see or feel like there is any correlation of the turbocharger to the air conditioning compressor. However, a second opinion can be helpful with hands on testing. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops Note also - if the air conditioning system blows cold air, then -- don't do anything for now, as it works! My guess is that they noted this concern while doing other work. As you do not have a current AC concern, I'd just keep it in mind but continue to drive at this time.
