Air compressor changed, now battery dead

What is your question?

My husband changed the air compressor and we had a garage complete the process. The next day the new battery was totally dead. Once recharged, the car runs fine, the compressor works fine, the alternator recharges the battery while the car is running. Overnight the battery is drained again. My husband had found the A/C clutch fuse and the batt 1 fuse had problems, but changing the fuse didn't change the problem. Where would he look for a short?
