Hello, Use a different shop. Any real shop with proper equipment will be able to diagnose this issue. It really isn't all that hard to look and see what told the doors to lock, and track that issue. I understand it is a luxury car with more bells and whistles, so it makes it more difficult, but if a 2016 S-class Mercedes can be repaired, so can this. Use one of these if you want results that are honest and reliable: http://repairpal.com/buick-within-10-miles-of-bolivar-missouri-65613
I wanted to make a comment about the response "Any real shop with proper equipment will be able to diagnose this issue". I have a 2010 Buick Enclave and I have been experiencing the same exact problem with my car shutting off while I am driving it for about a year now. There are NO warning signs (e.g. warning lights on dash board, vehicle noise) before the car engine shuts off. I took my car to a couple of Buick Dealership service departments and neither one was able to diagnose the problem. No codes came up when the diagnostic tests were done and the engine shutting off issue couldn't be replicated when the mechanics drove the car. The problem is sporadic and could be very dangerous because it could happen while I'm driving on the interstate at a high speed. If anyone else is experiencing this problem and had the issue resolved, please let me know what was done to fix the problem.
Hello, Leave your vehicle at the shop. Intermittent problems need a chance to happen, and if you have a stretch of a few days where you do not need the car, the technician can try it between other jobs all day every day until it makes an error. Also, if the car has a pending code, the technician will be able to pull freeze-frame data. Another thing, this may involve shaking wires to get the problem to come to life. Like I told the other writer, this is not an easy fix, but it can be fixed. Sorry about your problems, I know this can be extremely frustrating.
