What is your question?
Light comes in telling me to idle engine because transmission is hot. Mechanic at tranny shop says nothing wrong with it. Sometimes it does it and other times can drive even further and it doesn’t come on. No other symptoms. Seems to shift fine.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Let engine idle for a few minutes and warning light goes out
How long has your 2009 Buick Enclave had this problem?
Happened a month ago and again yesterday

If you have an overheating transmission issue, I would get a second opinion from someone with experience with this vehicle. There certainly is an issue if you have this happening repetitively. If you are somehow overloading the vehicle and taxing the transmission by exceeding the vehicle's capabilities, then sure -- this could also happen. Otherwise, testing is required to find out why you are continuing to have this trouble.
