Leak on right side above heater

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Respectfully, the vehicle is 22 years old. Rubber components dry rot and can separate. This is what I suspect has happened. I don't think it is a common problem, but it is a problem related to age commonly, among any vehicle. This rubber generally doesn't conceal or prevent a leak. If you are having a leak you need to have water testing performed to determine where it is coming from. The leak you have may be coming from the heater core instead, or from an overflowing evaporator box full of water that may not be draining.
