My odometer light malfunctions. Sometimes it works when I pound on the dash board. What might be wrong?

This may just be a bad bulb, it's common for them to act like this when a bulb is burning out.
Common problem with these clusters. Internal circuitry in cluster needs repair. Visit http://www.mrwhizard.com for repair.
how does one replace the bulb?
